Immediate recognition of danger
Public areas are often monitored with camera systems. Most of the image documentation is stored for later clarification, without being directly analysed by security personnel. With this conventional system it is only rarely possible to recognise acutely threatening situations at the moment when they happen.
In the Cam in Sens project, intelligently networked cameras are designed to recognise dangerous situations as they occur, as well as working out the legal aspects of tracking people and recognising patterns.
