Safety in public transport
As part of the VeRSiert project, Vitracom researched into a video-supported system that diagnoses risk situations and automatically recognises conspicuous behaviour of individuals or groups. After a risk analysis, the system independently triggers off appropriate warning functions.
VeRSiert was a project from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (the BMBF) designed to ensure better organisation and IT networking of the bodies responsible to increase safety in public transport at large events. By way of example, specific scenarios of concerts and football matches were devised and tested. The project was successfully concluded in May 2011.
